wow that was nice..

when will the next installment be?
...see, when i chat to you, you don't mention any of these things!

...the shoving thing is funny, because people here are always talking about how 'British' it is to queue (form a line)... and everyone waits in line.. heh. when someone pushes in, people get a bit huffy, but no one confronts them.

mmm... but then there's a more subtle kind of psychological game that seems to be played in more 'upper class' areas.. where there's definitely people stepping right in front of you as you're trying to look at something(like in a store).. and I think this is just them letting you know they can see your shoes aren't very expensive or something..that they are higher up on the social ladder than you..

Nice, that was an excellent article! In fact when I finally talk some of my friends from New York into coming, I may have to point them to this list. I've traveled enough that I've now become a 'cultural mutt' and as such find it hard to point out differences to people.... I'm a bit envious that you get to have your parents come visit you. :) Are they coming for New Years? I wish you a wonderful time with them.
